A Wild line receives the documented modifier
The Wild substitutes for regular paying symbols but not the Scatter or Lantern. Under the checked rules, a winning line containing a Wild receives a 3× modifier. Do not automatically raise that to 3² or 3³ merely because several Wild images appear in the same combination; follow the actual award rule rather than inventing a compounding formula.
For illustration, an eligible line award of €0.80 becomes €2.40 under a 3× modifier. That is a gross line award, not a promise that the full spin is profitable. Other lines can contribute, and the complete round cost still belongs in the calculation. The paytable guide explains line-stake and total-stake units.
Follow each step toward the first reel
After a Wild appears, the game gives re-spins as Wilds move left across the reels. A newly arriving Wild can keep the sequence going after an older one is close to leaving. The end condition is the absence of Wilds, not a fixed promise that every trigger gives the same number of resolutions.
These re-spins are attached to the activating paid round. They are not a new paid wager each time the field resolves. Nor does the number of re-spins by itself reveal the amount won. A long sequence and a large award are different observations.
Three Scatters start ten free spins
Three or more Scatters trigger ten free spins in the checked rules. During the free-spin feature, three or more Scatters add five. The same rule should not be applied to the intervening walking re-spins: Scatters do not appear in those re-spins.
That exclusion prevents an easy counting mistake. A clip can show many successive reel resolutions while the free-spin count barely changes. Some resolutions belong to the walking sequence, where the Scatter retrigger condition is not active.
The free-spin counter pauses for walking Wilds
When a walking-Wild sequence occurs inside free spins, the remaining free-spin count pauses until the sequence ends. The Wild resolutions are additional activity inside that feature, not deductions from the displayed free-spin allowance.
If a base-game outcome activates both the free-spin feature and a walking sequence, the published rules specify the order: free spins are played first, then the game returns to the waiting walking sequence. A video cut at the end of free spins may therefore omit part of the original paid round’s result.
Lanterns change the next Wild
Lanterns appear on reel five during free spins. At three collected Lanterns, the next Wild becomes a two-symbol-high Hell Hound. At six, the next Wild becomes the three-symbol-high Jack-o-lantern. At nine, the next Wild is the full-reel Reaper described by the rules.
These are thresholds in one feature, not three separate cash jackpots. The collection is capped at nine, and remaining Lantern progress is discarded when the free-spin feature ends. It does not become a permanent account-level upgrade waiting for the next session.
A tall Wild still needs a payable combination
An upgraded Wild covers more positions, but it must still participate in eligible line combinations to produce the relevant line awards. The number of visible character cells is not itself a payout table. This is especially important when a stack is only partly visible on the field.
Read the feature in order: Lantern threshold, next Wild type, visible landing, movement and line result. The design-and-perception article explains why a larger character or stronger animation can feel more rewarding before the credited amount is known.
